Mistaya Engineering creates state-of-the-art engineering software for the renewable energy industry. Our Windographer model helps wind power developers to analyze wind resource data and to decide whether a site looks promising. The micropower optimization model HOMER, which we develop for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, helps analysts to design stand-alone or grid-connected power systems comprising any combination of renewable and conventional power generation technologies.

We also provide expert consulting services in the area of renewable power system design. We have modeled PV, biomass, wind-diesel, and small-hydro power systems in places stretching from the far North to the South Pacific. In providing technical support for HOMER, we have advised people in over 100 countries around the world.
